A smiling bride in a white gown and groom in a white shirt sit together on stacked logs in a lush forest setting.

There’s a point at some weddings where the day feels completely different.

The ceremony is over. The speeches are finished. The first dance has happened. The timeline has quietly disappeared and everyone settles into the evening.

This photograph was taken around 9pm on a very warm summer day at Two Woods Estate in Pullborough.

By this point, the jackets had been abandoned hours earlier. Guests were scattered around the woodland and outdoor spaces, drinks in hand, some playing beer pong, a few dancing.

We'd wandered into the woods for a few minutes and ended up sitting by this stack of logs, chatting about the day. Nothing was planned. Nobody was being posed. We were simply taking a breather after everything that had already happened.

I took a couple of frames while we talked.

As a photographer, what I love about this is how much it reflects the atmosphere of that moment. The wedding was effectively done. There was nowhere to be and nothing left to organise. Just two people sitting together, laughing, and enjoying the fact that they were finally married.

Photographs like this are often my favourites.

Not because they're technically complicated or particularly dramatic, but because they feel honest. They remind me what weddings are really about once all the formalities have fallen away.

If you're planning a wedding at Two Woods Estate, this is one of the things I love most about the venue. Being surrounded by woodland means there are quiet corners everywhere. Places where you can step away from the crowd for five minutes, catch your breath, and properly take it all in.

Sometimes those moments end up becoming the photographs people return to most.

Two Woods Estate Wedding Photography

My approach to wedding photography is simple. I want your photographs to feel natural, timeless and genuinely reflective of how the day felt.

Since taking to weddings over ten years ago, I've been drawn to the moments that happen naturally. The laughter between friends, the atmosphere on the dance floor, the quiet moments in between.

The things that can't be planned or recreated.

If you're planning a wedding at Two Woods Estate, I'd love to hear about it. In the meantime, feel free to explore more of my work or get in touch for a brochure and availability.
