Winter Wedding Photography
If any of these wedding photographs at Sandhole Oak Barn look like the weather might be warm, wipe that thought from your memory! Tillie and Martyn were married in early February, my first wedding this year (I don’t work in January). Winter wedding photography can often be difficult, but documenting Tillie and Martyns big day couldnt have been more joyful!
Although chilly, my year couldn’t have started any better. We had a wonderful wedding. Sandhole Oak Barn was the perfect venue, a lovely secluded Cheshire setting with the perfect indoor space for our antics!

Sandhole Oak Barn Wedding Photography
I love to photograph weddings in a candid documentary style, and this is the reason Tillie and Martyn chose me to capture their big day. I was blessed with the beautiful wedding venue of Sandhole Oak Barn for my winter wedding photography… Perfect! Below are some of the photographs from the day.
Sandhole Oak Barn Bridal Prep
I arrived at Sandhole Oak Barn for the bridal preparations. This is my favourite time to arrive, as I get to know people and I’m involved in the day from the start. Wedding preparations are a big part of the story.
Tillie and her bridesmaids got ready in the lovely dressing room whilst Martyn and his groomsmen were in the shepherds hut.
Natural Wedding Photography
After the ceremony, we headed outside. It was chilly, but nothing we couldn’t handle and the rain stayed away for the time being. Tillie and martyn went for a stroll around the grounds of sandhole oak barn, as they did later on in the evening.
This wonderful winter wedding at sandhole oak barn continued with some lovely food (I’m a foodie… The food at Sandhole Oak Barn is epic!) followed by some emotional, and at times funny, speeches.
We then danced the night away!
Above, you can see a small selection of photos which tell the story of the winter wedding in Cheshire. My style of photography is candid and relaxed – Which means it’s not for posers, it’s for chilled couples who want their wedding photography to tell the story of the day.
