Many terms describe a natural wedding photographer and my candid, storytelling style of photography. We can talk about it all day, but it’s far easier to show you.
You’ll find a video reel with a slideshow lasting just a few minutes on this page. I’d love you to enjoy this and try to feel the same joy I felt while creating the photographs.
All the photos in the reel and on this page were taken in 2022. Therefore, they encapsulate just one year of work for me. I’ve also got plenty of recent wedding stories around the site and over on Instagram.
Spin your phone around, pop the volume up, kick back and press play.

Natural and Candid Wedding Photography
Often, my discreet style of wedding photography is described as reportage or documentary wedding photography.
Each term has a very similar meaning. I don’t direct moments or interfere in the day, allowing it to happen around my and capturing the story in my unique way. I’ve won awards and earned respect within the industry for this style of wedding photography, making me very proud to call myself a natural wedding photographer. It’s what I live for.
A Natural Wedding Photographer at your wedding
Your guests will barely notice a skilled, masterful natural wedding photographer. I’m often told by wedding couples that their guests thought I was one of them, or were comfortable having me around as I simply blended in.
For me, this is a huge compliment. I don’t like to be a ‘fly on the wall’ photographer, I prefer to blend in by becoming part of the wedding that I’m photographing.
Context and Storytelling with Natural Wedding Photos
Natural wedding photography isn’t just about taking photographs of people when they aren’t looking. It’s all about the story and the emotions. I always want my photography to have context. A beginning, a middle and an end. A reason.
The moments you never knew existed
One of the greatest things about hiring a natural wedding photographer to capture your wedding may not be the things you experienced but the moments that happened without you realising.
I love these fleeting connections between people. Often simple images of people being themselves really capture their character.
Natural Wedding photography means memories!
Ultimately, this all manifests itself into one significant memory of your day. You should be able to look through your album in years to come and remember what it was like to be at your wedding.
Your children should be able to show their children and they can feel those same feelings. They can see what people were like in the past. Not just the clothes they wore but what their personality was like.
If this sounds right up your street, have a good look around the rest of the website and I would love to hear all about your wedding.
